6/10 service. 4/10 Housekeeping & maintenance. Nice enough for one overnight stay with kids. The queen sofa bed suite room was spacious but needs some work (pics). A light that didn’t work. Empty body wash container. Mold and a broken rack in the shower. Torn up carpet. Got the sense no one really cared. Free breakfast.

We were driving in from far away and got the notice that our room was ready. I chatted during a break and asked for the same type of room on the first floor. No problem! Quick response! The front desk staff member, Julie, was very helpful and professional and friendly. All good! Thanks! Chaz from maintenance took care of our non-functioning remote control quickly and professionally. All good! Thanks! The room is spotless and huge. It’s a one bedroom corner suite. Walking around is nice as there is a nearby set of businesses, restaurants, ice cream shop, etc. This road trip’s first hotel stay has started off very well! Life is good!

I can’t say enough about this gem of a hotel visited on my way to Virginia. The room was perfect in cleanliness and thoughtfulness for the customer to include a mega sized TV that can swing from sitting to sleep area. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed in room 415 checking in on 1/22/26 and out on 1/26/26. Our room had a terrible odor (maybe previous pets?). The sofa and ottoman were heavily soiled so we used some extra bed sheets we found to cover them. We bought Febreze air freshener which didn’t help as well as we’d hoped. The shower was not clean. The only reason we didn’t request a room change is because we got a free upgrade to a much larger room and we wanted the extra space for our cat to run around. During the day, we were with family so mainly had to deal with the smell when we returned in the evening. Also, the king sized bed was not comfortable. One side of the bed was sunken in providing poor support. My husband and I are Titanium members and have noticed all Marriott properties going downhill especially the ones that allow pets. This Nexton Residence Inn is overdue for a renovation. There were carpet stains in the hallway near our room. I don’t understand why Marriott doesn’t clean the carpets in between renovations. Very disappointed. We are considering switching to Hilton properties.

Hotel lobby and my room were fine but, on the app and on the Marriott website, they advertise free parking (which is not the case) and a lobby bar (which is only open for "special occasions"). Feels like bait and switch. Edited to add - any long term cleaning of the rooms seems to have been ignored. I got a whiff of something "off" by the bathroom sink, looked inside the overflow holes and was instantly nauseous 🤢. This place is gross!
