Have been coming to this office since I was a teenager, have birth control implant that last 3 years, and get paps done every 3 years like scheduled. Called to schedule my every 3 year appointment like always, and because I was two days outside of the 3 year window they refused to see me since I wasn’t an established patient. My three year window fell on a weekend and I couldn’t call due to them being closed. When I did call the next business day, they said I have to make an appointment as a new patient first so they can bill me as a new patient and then they can make another appointment to bill for my birth control replacement and pap. Such a scam and almost a way for the office to make money. Why provide people an implant that last 3 years if you’re going to make them become a new patient every 3 years and bill them for it. The old women’s health partners would never do this. Seems as if they have grown too big and are following a corporate policy almost. Tried to schedule in September and was constantly transferred to someone named Stephanie and she never once called me back from the 3 voicemails I left asking why since I was two days off I can’t still be seen as an established patient. When I finally called for the 4th time she would only say “I’m not going to go back and forth about it. This is our policy. Take it up with billing and this is Dr. Cook’s office and she makes the rules”. Super disappointed to be leaving Dr. Cook’s office, but if I’m going pay to be a new patient I’m going to give my money to a office that is actually new to me. Not someone I’ve been going to for almost 20 years. On a positive note, Dr. Cook’s MA was beyond kind and understanding and tried to do the best she cold to resolve the situation but Stephanie wouldn’t allow me to be seen without being a new patient.

I went to my appointment signed in as usual and asked to make sure they accepted my insurance I was told yes so I proceeded to my appointment. I than received a bill showing my insurance did not cover my visit. I wrote a letter to the billing department explaining that they told me they accepted it. Come to find out they didn't and I was 100% responsible. I called and the office/Dr told me I was basically on my own. I told them I would have never continued with my appointment if they didn't take my insurance. Now I have this bill in collections and they will NOT see me nor provide my prescriptions ANYMORE. I feel this should be against the law. I would not recommend this place. They don't want to take responsibility for what they did to me.

Dr. Parry was wonderful! He made me feel very comfortable, and like he truly listened. All of the staff I interacted with were also very friendly. Highly recommend!

At my annual appointment, which is covered by my insurance 100% as preventative care, I was told no charge at the office. I then received a bill in the mail stating I owed a $40 co-pay. I contacted my insurance who stated the coding from the medical office notated a “15 minute” consultation, outside the preventative care scope, which cause the visit fee. I contacted the billing office and they confirmed they billed for a conversation I had with the doctor. This conversation was about changing my existing medication due to ongoing issues (nothing new), and I asked how my age (premenopausal) may be affected. The billing person stated this was sufficient enough for them to call it “outside” the preventative care scope. I responded, “So next time I should come in, sit down, spread my legs, and not talk, and then I’ll be covered.” She said yes. I’m completely disgusted with medical offices taking advantage of loopholes and insurance companies doing nothing about it. Preventative Care as described by the insurance company’s coverage agreement is: “ Preventive Care (Preventive Service) Routine health care, including screenings, check-ups, and patient counseling, to prevent or discover illness, disease, or other health problems.”

Absolutely love the level of service and care demonstrated by Dr. Perry and Kelly, RN. Referred by my family physician and I couldn’t be more pleased. This is the only OB/GYN office in which I’ve felt comfortable. (Of course, this will always be “uncomfortable”). Keep up the great job!!
