Linwood Inn is a beautiful historical Bed & Breakfast nestled amongst gardens full of azaleas, dogwoods, wisteria, magnolias, pine and oak trees in the heart of Summerville, SC. The B&B offers large suites for the guests, expansive southern porches to view the ornate gardens, and an outdoor swimming pool to relax. The operators are welcoming, kind, and very hospitable.
This year, my wife and I were looking for a venue for our annual family Christmas photo shoot. The Linwood Inn was suggested by a friend so I met with Ms. Linda and Mr. Peter. Immediately I knew this is was the perfect place. I have been working for the Town of Summerville for nearly 16 years and drive past the Linwood Inn almost daily, but never got the opportunity to venture inside. After walking in, you can feel the history of this home. The gardens are simply exquisite and alluring. The room gave us a true southern Victorian feel that we were looking for in our family portraits. Ms. Linda and Mr. Peter’s hospitality was second to none and my children absolutely enjoyed having the opportunity to go inside, but also have their pictures taken in a true piece of American history. A million thanks go to the Shelbournes and if you are ever in Summerville, please stop and visit and/or spend the night at this gorgeous home. You will NOT be disappointed!!
Just spent six nights in the Guest House at Linwood Inn...it was wonderful. This was our fourth stay at Linwood. Linda, Peter and Enola are absolutely awesome hosts. Our grandkids come visit while we stay at the "little house" and enjoy playing in the yard. Downtown Historic Summerville is just a short walk away and offers many things to see. We attended our first Flowertown Festival while there this time..was a lot of fun. Can't wait for our next vacation to relax at Linwood.
