I wish the quality of the puppies matched the customer service. Please learn from the rest of us who purchased from Petland and save your money. My puppy passed away randomly just shy of turning 4 months old earlier this month. Since then, I have come across others whose pets also passed away fairly young. Yes, it’s easier to come to a physical store and see a variety of choices, but it’s not worth it. Autopsy results are pending, but we have been told that this puppy was sick all along. Aka CONGENITAL ISSUES.

The best experience!!! Dahlia was so kind, knowledgeable and professional. We purchased a mini golden doodle and her name is Sailor! Sweet puppy and such a great facility. Highly recommend!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this Petland location tonight. Earlier in the day, I called ahead and made an appointment to bring my wife and young daughter in to meet puppies we had seen online, with the full intent of purchasing one. We arrived around 7:00 PM. While many of the puppies had already gone home, which is great for those families, there was a young black lab we immediately fell in love with and were prepared to take home this evening. First, I want to be very clear: Lila was wonderful. She was kind, patient, and professional, and none of this review reflects on her service. This is entirely about management and how this business is run. We were presented with pricing that was already extremely high: $3,650 plus tax for a cash or card purchase, or over $4,500 if using the store’s financing options. Lila walked us through their financing, starting with the Petland Credit Card through Bread Financial, followed by other lenders. I explained that my wife and I recently built a home, bought a new car, and were not interested in having her credit run repeatedly if we weren’t a strong fit. After that conversation, I independently checked my own credit and secured an approval for $6,000 through a lender they themselves accept. I told Lila I was happy to either use that approval or pay cash outright, and asked for the terms. After stepping away to speak with her manager, Lila returned and told me the store would not allow us to use our own approved funding unless we first allowed them to run my wife’s credit through five additional lenders. That is completely unacceptable. I even made it clear I was willing to pay the higher price and forgo their discount just to avoid multiple hard inquiries on my wife’s credit. That still wasn’t good enough. We were essentially told that unless we allowed them to run credit through their preferred lenders first, we would not be allowed to purchase the puppy. As someone who owns a finance company, I am very familiar with these tactics. This felt like strong-arming customers into lender submissions that benefit the store through kickbacks rather than acting in the customer’s best interest. Despite having valid, approved funding in hand and being ready to complete the purchase, we were forced to walk out. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was an awful experience and deeply disappointing. Management should seriously reflect on how they operate. This is not how ethical businesses treat families, especially when children are involved. You should be ashamed of how this was handled.
