Palmetto Primary Care Physicians

I recently moved, but I tried to keep my doctor. The drive is 2.5 hours, but i really like my doctor. I waited 2 months for a prescription refill appointment, but when I showed up, they told me I was in the wrong office. It could be my mistake, but I’m almost positive I added the appointment to my calendar from the automated email. I rushed across town to get to this location. When i got there, the two receptionists had a conversation IN FRONT OF ME about whether to send me home or not. They offered me an appointment on Monday, but I have work. My only option was to reschedule in another two months. I’ll be looking for a new primary care.

The absolute worst office experience of my life. The doctor I saw was phenomenal. The office administration and billing is the worst I have ever seen. The front desk staff is so rude and unprofessional, and that is the ten percent of the time they actually answer the phone. When I asked about why I could never get through to someone on the phone I was point blank told that if the staff feels like they’re too busy or understaffed they just don’t answer the phones. Getting a callback from their office is a miracle also. I cannot in good faith suggest anyone use these offices for their care. They triple the costs of basic labs, double charge appointments to insurance and the patient, and even sent my account to collections multiple times while I was on a payment plan, and cannot seem to pull their act together. I hope they improve with their recent transition to being under the umbrella of MUSC.

Caroline Yerich is the most rude and unprofessional individual I’ve ever met. I’ve been a patient of Casey/Candice for a while and I’ve never had any issues with them. She was dismissive and condescending for the entire 12 minutes I spoke to her during my appointment. If I ever need another appointment and she’s the only one with availability, I will honestly transfer to a different provider all together. She has absolutely no business being a primary care doctor being as rude as she is. I will be contacting the office manager every single day until I can personally tell her how disrespectful that woman is. I literally had to tell the woman at the front desk to put a special note on my file to NEVER schedule me with her again, and if I ever see her face again..I will straight up walk out of the office.

The five stars I give for the services of Ms Caroline Yerich. She is an excellent practitioner very sweet and compassionate. I have made appointments for several family members to become established patients. She’s amazing in my book.

Look at these reviews. Everyone loves their doctor but is giving this place a 1 star. That’s how bad the logistics of it is. You cannot get anyone on the phone. The calls go to a voicemail all times of the day. No returned calls. Mixups constantly. Dr. Hogue is fantastic but I will never go back to this place.
