The Kickin’ Chicken

First of all, how do you have that many sauces & nothing showing customers the spice level. Common sense, customers want to know how hot the sauce is. Put some little peppers beside the names or a spice level meter on the menu. Besides that, I’d rather have fast food chicken. It’s too expensive, super salty, very tough/chewy & sauces suck. Ive been twice & ordered 4 different sauces on the side each time just to make sure. All of the buffalo options taste the exact same, and they’re all bad. The fries are awesome, but the bacon was extremely salty, again. The cherry on top is the 3.5% service fee in small text at the bottom of the menu. Mandatory service fees are supposed to be for large parties staying long periods of time, not a few guests in & out. Americans are accustomed to tipping & servers make fantastic money around here. There’s absolutely no need for that. Just absolutely disappointing all the way around.

I hadn't been in here in a real long time. And I was very impressed, they compacted their menu, and everything I had was incredibly good. I had a cocktail, it was good. They had a live music on the porch thay opened it up on the inside it made the bar accessible from the outside now. They added an arcade in the back which is cool for people eating with kids trying to have a little bit of an adult night and have thier kids with them. I just recommend if you gonna talk during dinner. Don't sit right next to the arcade it gets very loud. Our service was really good. Everybody was very attentive. The server knew the menu we didn't wait long at all for our food. I will say, since they put in the arcade and opened up the back wall for the bar to go to the porch they pulled out some of the seating, so there's less seating, which I liked, It made it more open, not so dark, like it was before. I would say, give kickin chicken another try

I'm very disappointed in my pickup order this evening. I ordered a salad, no onions or peppers and they put onions and peppers on it. The croutons are stale. The lettuce is browning. There is no ranch on my Bobby fries. Very disappointed.

Great food and excellent wait staff!!! HOWEVER, and this is very important, owners actually ADD a SEPARATE ADD-ON CHARGE to your bill to account for their POS system they have where you have to complete the transaction at table (where instead of server simply taking your payment to the back to close out the bill, the server has to do it at your table and make you complete the sale there, putting the POS device in your hand). SO, essentially, the owner wants to pass a choice they made for software and operating process, that you likely do NOT want, on to you as the customer as a surprise EXTRA charge you cannot avoid on your bill. There is no way to avoid this as not a credit card charge but a random owner charge you must pay even if you use cash (per server and apparently many are complaining). It is a shame as the food and wait staff were great, but I am not going to pay a separate charge to cover their normal operations. BE CAREFUL if you go here, as they will add-on such surprise charges. Ask in advance so you know what you are getting into. We eat at a LOT of restaurants and have never seen this happen before. Sure, some offer a discount or extra charge based on whether you use a credit card, but this is something completely different and SOOOO disappointing; not customer friendly or good service to say the least. Great food and wait staff, but the hassle charges are definitely not appropriate d.

It was an okay experience for the first time trying this place. Our server was phenomenal and super friendly! She checked on us numerous times and made sure we were well taken care of! She was wonderful! For price you pay, I had my hopes high for their namesake….chicken. However, it was subpar for the amount of money you pay. In all honesty, I’d prefer Chick-fil-A over Kickin’ Chicken, especially for the price. We ordered the Southern Heat chicken sandwich….chicken was stringy…overcooked….fries were salty…and was far from being spicy. The tender basket was about the same….no flavor and stringy. The kids nugget basket…same…stringy chicken and salty fries. The food was hot and fresh which was a bonus. The absolute worst part of our experience was how horribly hot it was inside. Being that it’s summer, and 90+° out, why would you open your windows?? We were not the only ones sweating while trying to eat. It made enjoying our meal that much more miserable. I haven’t a clue if they are trying to save a buck by not having their AC running, but I can only imagine how miserable it would be to work there, let alone eat there as a customer. I also have to mention they have so many tvs inside turned up full blast that I couldn’t even hear my husband talk to me from across the table. We found ourselves screaming at each other. For it being our first time here, I don’t see the hype and neither should you. You could save yourself a ton of money and go to Chick-fil-A where your drinks are included and the food is always delicious. We won’t be coming back.
