The ONLY bad thing I’ll say is Shug’s has been here for over a year, and only today did we discover it. It’s not very often you can honestly say “anything you order will be fantastic”. I’ll say this about Shug’s and stand by it! My wife and I ordered 2 very different meals and everything on both plates was extraordinary. We tried the collard green eggroll appetizer… I wanted to throw it on the floor and roll on it ~ seriously ~ that good. The hush puppies included with both our meals were truly the best I’ve ever had. Not sure what the chef has going on back there but he’s a culinary wizard. My red snapper was so good, my mouth is watering right now thinking about it. Go to Shug’s, order whatever you want, and enjoy a wonderfully prepared meal. By the way, everyone working tonight made us feel so welcome. Every little detail of our experience was perfect. Thank you Shug ~ we’ll be back!!!

I had the pleasure to enjoy a delicious meal with a friend a couple of days ago. Our waitress was Roxanne. She was the Best. Then I met Noah the owner of Shugs. What a great man and a wonderful Chef'. 5 stars 🌟 all around. They are also very Veteran Friendly. I highly recommend Shugs on Central Ave in Summerville.

Just moved from nh in may, just looking for a quick bite before bed and this is less than a mile from my house so I figured why not.. absolutely no regrets, place was clean staff was friendly smiling and interacting with the customers 😀 10/10 I got the big fish sandwich, the fish was cooked perfect crunchy outside but soft and flavorful inside, I have never tried fried okra, but for this being my first time i love it ! Cornbread was warm, soft and airy not dense and dry! I will absolutely be coming back ! I even took a picture of the after math of my hunger against great food

We had a great experience here. The customer service was excellent and our food was hot and fresh. The macaroni was a little more cooked on the top than we are used to but my husband said it was tasty under the top layer. My shrimp po-boy was delicious 😋

First time here and def will be back! These folks are so nice, attentive and very appreciative. Soul food at its best. Well seasoned and huge portions. I had the baked turkey wing...yes...one was enough! Sides of cabbage and red rice. So much food I couldn't eat it all. You even get cornbread, drink and dessert on Sunday. Give these folks a try you will not be disappointed.
