El Jalapeño Mexican Grill

My review is solely based off my experience and opinion. There are lots of good reviews for this place. Waitress was nice and helpful. We were seated immediately and food came out fast. Meal Chips- 1/5 - stale, we asked for another basket and they were stale also. Large Queso- 2/5 - Good portion size, runny and lacking flavor. Large Guacamole- 3/5 - Good portion size, tasted fresh. Unfortunately was already browning at the top. See pictures. Street Tacos Al Pastor- 2.5/5 - Good flavor, portion size was good for one taco but other one lacking same portion. See pictures. Steak taco- 2/5 - least flavor of the tacos but still tasted good, good portion size. Steak was a little dry. Chicken taco - 2.5/5 - great flavor, good portion, chicken was kind of dry. But I would eat these again.

The food and prices are always great here! The combinations are under $13 and the portions are perfect! Wonderful seafood options, such as the grilled fish tacos or shrimp & vegetables over rice! Top notch Mexican cuisine!

Wouldn't spend the money again, definitely had higher hopes. My margarita was bad, I didn't even want to finish it. Tasted like Jose Cuervo Margarita mix, couldn't taste any tequila. So if that's what you're into you'll love it!!! The host was kind, server def seemed like she wanted to be off but I really can't blame her!

This restaurant is a great place to take the family or go with friends. The prices are pretty cheap, and the portions are pretty large. The staff know the menu well, are friendly, and are easy to talk to. The food is always tasty and fresh, and there is a full bar ready for your drink orders. Overall, it was a great place to go for lunch or dinner.

$8.25 for this small strawberry margarita....the glass was 2/3 ice. Water cup for size reference. Drink prices were not on the menu.
