Agaves Cantina Dorchester Rd

Been to Agave a few times. Food is always fast and the service is great. Never too busy. Lovely outside eating area. It's the usual fare you would get as most Mexican restaurants. Similar to Azul and places like that.

We went there for the first time and really enjoyed the food, but most especially the hardworking staff. The staff here truly work as a team and it’s reflected throughout the entire experience. We dined on a Saturday night just before going to an 8:30pm movie. We got in around 6:45pm and were sat within minutes. The entire dining room was filled, including some of the tables just near their bar. Our chips and salsa were dropped just as we sat and I couldn’t help but observe the waitstaff. They’re attentive, efficient and work with a sense of ensuring you have the best time in the quickest amount of time. They have plenty of seats at the bar with 3-4 bartenders working under large flat screen tv’s. I counted a total of 9 flat screens. We loved it. I found the staff stopping service to sing happy birthday, including the hosts stopped to join in. It was so cool. What I found most beautiful was the floor manager who was both attentive and engaging with guests who reached out to him for assistance. We enjoyed the chips and salsa and wanted just a bit more. Their floor manager got us more salsa, offered further assistance all while helping his team bus the table near us. I loved seeing the staff all work together not with a sense of earning a tip but more so about taking care of their customers. I had an excellent waiter who always ensured my coca-cola was refilled even before I could raise a hand. We left feeling well taken cared of and had a great time at the movies. I highly recommend stopping by for dinner. The food is great, but the attentiveness of their staff is what will bring me back! Thank you Agave for a great first time visit!

Best fresh most delicious Mexican food! This was my 1st time there & I'll definitely return. We had a birthday dinner for my sister. We had Steak Fajitas, Carnitas, & Carne Asada. Everything was served promptly & hot. Victor gave us superb service.

Went on the first day. The restaurant was a beautiful location. The staff was fantastic. The managers were very attentive and wanted to make sure everything was enjoyed. My dad is also very picky and they allowed him to try their meat before buying the tacos to see if he would like them. Come knowing this is a new location so things are adapting and changing as time goes. The manager told us that they plan on doing live music once a week on their our door seating area which had lights and fairly nice seating. For large parties they have three large tables and abundance of other seating arrangements. The food was fantastic the Pollo asado with the Mexican potatoes the seasoning on the chicken was great. My dad said the tacos were great and he's excited for his leftovers. The food wasn't spicy but had a ton of flavor from the meat to the sides. Would highly recommend giving them a try. From the first day of opening till now 19 Dec 25 this place is just as good as when it opened and the quality of the food and the quality of the service are both fantastic. Worth a visit every time

Agaves cantina Spicy cucumber margarita unusual and very tasty. Dos xx negros draft Warm tortilla chips and not spicy watery salsa Monika server useless doesn’t know the menu and can’t offer any suggestions after 3 months of serving Gave the wrong side and got tons of attitude said I should have told her different even after I told the manager. Carlos manager nice guy very helpful knowledgeable and helpful Very nicely set up indoors and outside decorated with Mexican music Ceviche shrimp Outstanding. Chopped shrimp, avocado cucumbers tomatoes cilantro lime. Appetizer that is a meal in itself. chile Colorado steak and spicy sauce Beef thinly sliced in a moderate spicy sauce. 4 out of ten for heat but 8 out of ten for flavor. Very tasty. But I ordered different sides. Spicy sauce was excellent. Carlos the manager brought out the side. Very cheat able. More of a keto meal but well worth the money and effort. A definite easy carnivore with simple carb sides choice. Plenty for carnivore eater to cheat with. If you want to cheat this is the place to do it.
