Comfort Suites Summerville

The hotel itself was very clean and in a very nice location. However, I would never stay at this location again, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either!! Kipp The front desk clerk made my stay horrific. He was very nasty and honestly a bit racist. He spoke to me as if I was a dog and proceeded to say that the organization was privately owned. However, the Night Shift clerk Either Mrs. Grace or Joyce was very welcoming and warming. Kipp Made unauthorized payments to my card for leaving, rose petals in the room after I already spoke with staff regarding what to do with the rose petals. Kipp Is very aggressive and rude and he should not be working in customer service. The encounter I have with him made me very uneasy.

We stay at this hotel when we visit family in Charleston. We are extremely pleased and are never disappointed. Mrs. Joyce at the front desk is always so nice, pleasant and helpful. Check in and checkout is always smooth and effortless. We look forward to seeing Mrs. Joyce each time we visit. She is a great asset to this hotel!

Excellent experience at this hotel property. The staff is kind and helpful, everyone I encountered made a full effort to make sure needs were met. It is sad that this is increasingly uncommon so I truly appreciate good customer service when I find it. This is usually a reflection on management so kudos to them as well. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The location is busy but love the fact that there were shops and restaurants close enough to walk if desired. I didn't walk but greatly appreciated the fact that I didn't need to get out on the main drag to drive. The pool is a bit on the small side but clean.

Another completely honest review: Pros: - The staff was amazing, just kind and so welcoming. Bob at the front desk, just a ray of sunshine, thank you! - Breakfast was a wide variety of hot and cold items from waffles, pancakes, eggs, and sausage, to muffins, pastries, cereals, yogurts, grits, oatmeal, fruit, and all of the drink selections. All of it tasted great. - Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the sheets were clean and fresh - rooms were also clean. Lobby was immaculate. - Location was centered around all kinds of shopping and food. You could walk to Waffle House and wal mart. - Beautiful outdoor pool and gym. There were some cons, but they can be easily improved, they would have moved my room if I wanted, we just didn’t care enough to (so you know it wasn’t huge). Cons: - Some of the lights didn’t work (not the light bulbs, check the wires in 219 for safety). - Water drains VERY loudly from surrounding rooms, but if you close the bathroom door you can’t hear it too much, not sure of that can be fixed but we’re a little confused at the sound at first, - There is a distinct smell in the room, it’s not like it STINKS, but it doesn’t smell fresh like the lobby. It’s like a blend of laundry detergent and corn chips 🫣. I’m so sorry, maybe whatever you use in the lobby you can use in the rooms because that smells amazing and clean. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much, with those minor improvements, it’d be even better.

Publix is around the corner for your groceries also walmart and bjs wholesale. We loved our stay here and highly recommend. My review is in my video.
