Motel 6 Summerville, SC – Charleston

Stayed here this past week and quickly kinda regretted my decision after learning you can hear cars from the road in this area mostly blowing their horn. This wasn't the only draw back though one of the pillows were flat, the bathroom door wouldn't close and there wasn't a trash bin in the room at all. While i was here i would get waken up at 3 or maybe about 4am to someone screaming stuff like "SHUT UP!". I'll probably stay at another motel after this experience.. Only good thing was the room was clean, the bed itself was soft.

A hotel experience can really crash and burn when the service is terrible. It's the 3rd time I went to stay there, amazing location, wonderful rooms. But this time, the front desk personel was absolutely ridiculous. Check in at the hotel is 3 pm. I got there at 4 to check in, with a reservation I had made the night before for a King room. They had no kings available so she was going to give me a 2 double. Which was fine. Better for me even. But she problem was she had no clean rooms available. It was an hour after check in, 5 hours after check out. And she had no rooms available. Fine. She told me she would check her rooms for anything available if I gave her a moment to do so. So I did. I went off to get gas and do some doordashing. And got back around an hour later. She had STILL not gone to check any of her rooms. She told me she was waiting for someone to come and watch the front desk so she could. Fine. I understand that. But if someone was meant to be at the front desk why did it take her 20 minutes to come to the front desk to check me in when I got there at 4? The manager came and fiddled with the lock before leaving. And the front desk personel got an attitude with me when I asked how much longer it would be. It was now 6:00. It was absolutely ridiculous that they didn't have a single room for me after this time. And I'm still unable to get a refund for the room as I spent almost 90 dollars on it and can never seem to get the phone answered for an email address so I can get my third-party booking refund. I will never be coming to this location AGAIN.

If I could rate it a ZERO, I would!! Had to go down the road to use an atm because the young man at the front desk didn't know how to get the debit card machine to work. Online was quoted $101.00 with tax . Ended up paying $124.00 So not worth it. The hotel offered no WiFi. The young man front desk said it didn't work. When I asked for the password, he said he didn't know it !!! Blood spots on the floor. Food crumbs on floor. The room was chilly, ran the heater all night and it never got warm in there. The water in the shower was warm never got hot. No hair dryer in room. Also online stated toiletries in room. No, just one tiny bar of soap. Come morning, there were no coffee makers in the room. Went to front desk and no breakfast or coffee as it stated online. False advertisement!!! Was upset to had to pay $124..00 NEVER AGAIN will I stay here. And will let family and friends know not to book a room here. If the manager could contact me I can show pictures of the nasty, dirty, bloody floor. Very disturbing. No Stars for this place.

Please do not stay here: guys just sitting outside n chatting loudly even late into the nite n many of them sitting on the staircases, smoking away, giving no respect to ladies. Inside the room it was clean but the bathroom was smelling like cigarette smoke n no trash can provided anywhere at all! Also, the phone had no dial tone. Next morning I saw cigarette butts all over the place and also dog poop outside the elevator! Complained to the manager- she said she is relatively new and she compensated me some. Needless to say I canceled out of the next two days

I was actually very pleased from the get go .the staff at the front were very understanding and friendly and patient with me . Most other hotels sometimes the staff at front can get short with you and lack communication skills with customers .but I'm telling yew Crystal and hailee were very helpful n friendly.while remaining professional .. the rooms are huge , quiet n clean. ..because of the staff and price alone I may commit to coming back on a regular basis!
