Senor Tequila

We usually enjoy Senor Tequila for a quick and reasonably good meal. Tonight was not one of those nights. It started with feeling rushed to order on the front end. The food was overcooked tonight and we were rushed with ‘you want the check’ as we finished our food. I get it, they want to turn the tables quickly but this just seemed a little aggressive. The one thing that was consistent…their chips & salsa! I enjoy how light and crisp they make their tortilla chips and the salsa is always amazing. Hopefully this was just a one off and when we visit again the food will be back to cooked properly.

I got the seafood chimichanga and to say it was bad is a understatement. It came with shrimp, scallops and mixed vegetables. The shrimp was decent just over cooked so it was very chewy. The scallops were nasty and tasted like they were spoiled or something. The mixed veggies were terrible. They were literally a bag of mixed frozen veggies from Wal-Mart. All they did was toss it in a pan and lightly burn them. The chicken tenders my son got tasted like a cheap chicken tender from a Wal-Mart frozen food section. My other son got a cheese quesadilla and the cheese tasted like sandwich cheese. Some people may like that taste but it wasn't our cup of tea. The service was pretty good. The atmosphere I wasnt impressed. They played mexican techno music way too loud. 15 mins after sitting down it started to give me a headache

Every time I dine here, Alex always takes the time to assure that my order is exactly what I want. He makes my ACP the way I want it EVERYTIME bcuz I'm very picky about it. He and the restaurant has always went above and beyond! Stop in and see Alex ! You won't be disappointed!

Pretty cool place with very festive decor. The service was good and the food was great. I had the steak chimichangas and they were chefs kiss. They also have some of the best guacamole that I've had in a long time. We will be back.

We have always enjoyed Senor Tequila in Summerville but the food has changed recently. 1st: our pickup order. Ordered grilled chicken Nachos *toppings separate from chips. Nope the only things separate were black beans and Pico. I don't like soggy chips. 2nd: Most recent pick up order, Quesadilla was "rubbery" and our bag of chips tasted stale. 3rd: Most recent dine in: Server seemed to be new and she seemed to have a problem with understanding English which made ordering difficult. The Cancun Special was horrible. They were not "Grilled Vegetables" but overcooked and looked like boiled bagged frozen vegetables. The food here is usually really good and that is why we frequent this establishment so I do not understand the poor quality lately.
