Rise and Shine Breakfast Place Summerville

I decided to try this little hidden gem that just opened down the road from my house. It was pretty busy when I got there, as expected. I was greeted and seated instantly. The waitress got our drink order within moments of us sitting down. I absolutely love what they did to the interior. It's SO pretty! My son got the home fries, onion rings, Nutella waffle and a burger. I got the sweet cream French toast, waffle and two eggs, over hard. Our waitress, Paula, was absolutely PHENOMENAL! She was so sweet, happy, upbeat, attentive and just overall a wonderful person to interact with. Our bill (not shown- a water and sweet tea) was under $70. Definitely have food for a few meals left over. I love this place!

We absolutely love this place. Everything we’ve had has been delicious. They’re still settling into the new location, so I’ve heard of a couple small hiccups here and there, but they’re actively working through them. One thing you have to know going in: their in-house hot sauce is unreal. Ask for the red sauce—if you like spicy, the flavor is absolutely top-notch. My go-to is the chilaquiles with steak, and it never misses. That said, I’ve also had their omelets and waffles, and honestly, you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. 100% a spot you should check out if you haven’t been yet.

Great selection of breakfast and lunch items. Lots of international options also. Best grits! Excellent veggie omelette! The service by Emily was excellent.. radio station was even enjoyable! Only suggestion …Definitely need to incorporate gluten free items and offer oat milk! And offer biscuits!

I am livid, I ordered biscuits and gravy to go from this place. I have never been so disappointed. Ya'll the food here is horrible. The biscuit was a tiny, hard, overcooked Pillsbury biscuit. The gravy had no sausage, and they didn't even fill the ramekin to half full. They added 5 sad grey pieces of strawberry to my waffle. The bacon was floppy and rubbery and tasted weird. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. I don't know how you screw up breakfast food but this was atrocious.

Kids French toast was really good my daughter loved it. My wife got the banana foster pancakes that were also really good. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars for the food is the green salsa chilaquiles birria were super sour. They were worst chilaquiles I’ve had in Summerville. Also no high chairs for the kids.
