Animal Dermatology Clinic

We spent 2.5 years and thousands of dollars at our primary vet just wasting time and money until we finally met with Dr Sarah Lewis here and she literally fixed our dogs ear problem in 2 visits, one of those visits was the procedure to fix him. She spent over an hour with me on our first visit answering every question I had and looking at our dog, going over allll the options and suspected causes and treatment plans to fit our exact situation. The day of procedure she was amazing and went over all the results and imaging explaining everything wonderfully. She never made us feel rushed and we finally felt heard after years of battling our dogs ears. We make the drive up here from James Island and could not recommend more! My dog is finally playing again and running around the yard with my kids again and HAPPY! He’s no longer in pain and can enjoy being a dog. I wish we had found them years ago when all our problems started but so glad we finally made it. Pictures are before we found Sarah Lewis and only 3 days after his ear procedure. Completely different dog he’s finally happy and not in pain again!

Dr Thomas and his Staff are fabulous. I can’t say enough about them. Leia has had horrible breakouts and terrible allergies for years. Although treatment is not cheap it is well worth the price.

I can't recommend Dr. Lewis highly enough! She truly takes the time to figure out what's going on with my dog, carefully listening to concerns and thoroughly examining every possibility. What stands out the most is that she doesn't rush. She takes time to listen to your concerns. Dr. Lewis shows genuine empathy not only for my dog but for me as a pet owner. Her calm, compassionate approach gives me confidence that my dog is in the best hands possible.

After months of attempting to treat or at least maintain our dog’s allergies, this practice has greatly disappointed us after almost $2k in services!!!!! We tried several different treatment plans over the course of a few months, making the initial problem better but creating more problems for us, ending with Dr. Lewis instructing us to follow up with our primary vet if things do not improve. So we are back to square one with our primary vet, but $2k out of pocket. Asking to change my appointment time the day prior on two separate occasions surprised me, knowing I had to schedule our day around these appointments—so be sure you are flexible for them. This practice is GREAT for those who do not have a budget and have plenty of time in their day to sit around in an office for over an hour each visit. I know they are new, but hopefully they improve.

We love Animal Dermatology Clinic. The Summerville office is so nice and all the staff is friendly and helpful! We would recommend over and over.
