Newington Park

Newington Park, also known as Newington Plantation Park, is the kind of neighborhood park that makes it easy to squeeze in some fresh air without turning the day into a big production. It connects to the Sawmill Branch Trail, so it works equally well for a quick playground stop, a short walk, or a longer out-and-back ride or stroll.

Me and the boys (14 and 6) were riding the Sawbranch Trail and saw a side road with a sign for Newington Park, so we decided to stop in and check it out. It was 93 degrees so we were HOT and the kids didn't play on the playground, but we took note to come back on a cooler day. We had a snack and drink under the trees. Other than us, there was only 1 family there so definitely not overcrowded. They have a community pool off to the side, and some restrooms. Cool little spot to stop in off the trail.

Newington Park has a nice playground area and a swimming pool. It's a great place to spend time with your family ☺️

A nice covered pavilion with several tables to eat at, a few swings and other playground equipment, and a water fountain. It’s usually pretty clean. The fence all around and the tables to sit makes it easy to supervise kids. It’s accessible by car or via the trails. No restrooms available.

Nice little park. Very clean and well kept. It’s open to the public - we don’t live within the community and had no issues.

Cute little park. Not a ton as far as equipment for the kids to play on but it's not often busy. There's lots of room and tables under the covered shelter for picnics or whatever other activities. It's surrounded by trees so it doesn't get as hot and there's more shade over here on hotter days.
