⭐ 3.9 out of 5 Corner House Restaurant in Summerville is a solid go-to, especially if you’re on a lunch break and the clock is not your friend. The staff here deserves a shoutout—friendly, attentive, and efficient enough to get us in and out without feeling rushed. The dining area and restrooms were clean, which always earns bonus points, and the bar is huge—the kind of bar that makes you briefly consider canceling the rest of your day. The menu has something for just about everyone: salads, burgers, soups, and all the classic bar-food favorites. Prices landed right around $20 per person with tip, which feels reasonable for the variety and portion sizes. Now for the hiccup. The grilled chicken on the salad looked like it had been seared by the sun itself. The grill marks were burnt burnt, and unfortunately that char overpowered the entire salad and took the flavor down with it. A shame, because everything else was working in its favor. That said, my guests enjoyed their meals and had no complaints, which helped keep the overall experience firmly in the “good” category. All in all, Corner House is clean, quick, and reliable with a strong menu and great staff. Fix the overzealous grill marks and this spot could easily climb higher—but for now, a 3.9 is a fair and solid score.

Was hoping the only restaurant in the neighborhood would be better. I ordered the burger melt, recommended by the waiter. The sandwich sounded amazing but unfortunately was far from it. The “Texas Toast “ was not toast at all. It seemed like it sat for way too long and was basically warmed up bread, the supposedly crispy onions were basically soggy breaded onions. It came with like two tablespoons of auju sauce to dip. Basically would last like three bites… the fries were actually great but everyone hardly received any fries… like come on people you charge $20 + bucks for a sandwich and that’s what you get. Mediocre at best. I hope they will learn from this review because I want them to succeed. My honest advice: Menu is good, cook like you care, have the live music inside, focus on the product execution rather than the revenue and the revenue will come. Way overpriced for what you get currently.

Service was excellent. Very friendly, nice and great recommendations. Our server was great, very attentive and super nice. Food was fantastic, I got the creole shrimp and chicken pasta. Which was phenomenal. Quaint place, very quiet plenty of parking. The atmosphere was very laid back, kinda of a sports bar feel, but not really. No wait, was seated immediately. Lunch time. Would love to come back and try more items on the menu. Highly recommend.

The service was friendly and attentive, with staff who made sure everything was taken care of and that we felt welcome throughout the visit. The pacing of the meal was also just right. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, giving it a classic neighborhood restaurant feel that makes it easy to unwind and enjoy your meal. I was really hoping this would be a good experience but overall it was beyond disappointing. Tonight I ordered the Brisket Sandwich and the bread was incredibly stale and dry, FAR from fresh. It was smothered in an excess amount of queso (maybe trying to compensate for the dry bread) and was truly inedible. The other plates at the table were all mediocre at best. When the waiter asked how my meal was after seeing it only have a few bites taken out of it, I mentioned how it was incredibly dry and inedible and he just asked if he could remove the plate which I was grateful for, but there was absolutely no remediating the situation. No offering for a different meal, or even a percentage off of the already egregiously overpriced meal. I payed full price for 2 bites of an $18 dollar sandwich. The fries were delicious, although there were only around 8 fries served with each entree. The live music was absolutely incredible, but we could barely hear a thing since all the windows and doors to the building were closed and we were stuck listening to the same 4 songs on repeat throughout dinner. Overall, the food was absolutely terrible, the service was abysmal, and the prices were outrageous. Do not recommend.
