SureStay by Best Western Summerville Flowertown

I would not recommend staying here. I understand this is a budget hotel, but being affordable is not an excuse for poor cleanliness and maintenance. The room itself was in terrible condition—the carpet, bed sheets, and couch all had visible stains, which immediately made the room feel dirty. When the air conditioner was running, it blew a strong moldy smell into the room. On top of that, the thermostat didn't seem to work properly, so the AC would either run constantly or not turn on at all. There was construction starting around 7:00 AM, making it impossible to sleep in. Throughout the day and night, doors were constantly slamming, adding even more noise. The biggest issue was the cleanliness. I found multiple roaches in the room, which is completely unacceptable. The bathroom was also in poor condition—the shower floor felt soft, like it might give way beneath me, and the shower walls had little to no support behind them, making them feel unstable. The closet door was missing, and much of the furniture was worn down and beat up. I don't expect luxury from an inexpensive hotel, but I do expect a clean, safe, and reasonably maintained room. Unfortunately, this property failed on all of those basic expectations. I won't be staying here again.

When I walked into the building the lobby had a very unpleasant odor. I told the lady working the front desk (7/11 @7:30pm) that we wanted to check in. She was sitting in the lobby, rolled her eyes, scoffed, and proceeded to abruptly get behind the desk. Once we got to our room it smelled like someone had spilled a bottle of liquor and then sprayed perfume to cover it up. There was a fake eyelash on the bedside table, hairs all over the one comforter, both beds were covered in stains and did not smell like the linens were fresh. The bathroom door would not close, the carpet was dirty, and the walls had so many patches/smudged on them. We left and did not stay the night.

Pros - the location to surrounding restaurants and stores is really great, the price for the room was affordable, the front desk is ok. The WiFi does work, the pool looks clean. Cons - no elevator for the second floor, the rooms are in my opinion filthy, stains on carpet and bedding, the furniture and paint are dated, the parking lot is not convenient to the lobby. The carpet through out the building is disgusting. The coffee machine looks like it’s never been serviced, spits out hot black syrup. If you absolutely need a room bc everything else is sold out, it will do, but I wouldn’t recommend this sure stay best western to family’s on vacation, or couples, you will be sorely disappointed. Spend a little extra for a better room across the street there are a tons of places to chose from in the area.

OMG GROSS! The carpet was old and filthy, the bedspreads were soiled, the bathroom had mold in the shower. I asked for a refund, but the staff “could not” refund me. They moved me into another equally disgusting room. I cannot believe how Best Western clearly no longer cares about their standards. I’ll never stay at one of their properties again.

Booked through online site Had been staying for weeks already said he smelled smoked in a not so clean room to start with put me on a do not rent list $484. Gone should have paid the $13.00 for the reservation cancellation. Would not recommend staying here. Found way better room for less.
