High Tide Dentistry

I've been going to High Tide Dentistry ever since I moved here 5 years ago. My neighbor was a hygienist and recommended them to me. I don't love cleanings, just tolerate them because it's necessary. But this last visit was an entirely different experience for me. I'm sorry I forgot her name, but their newest hygienist was incredible. The actual plaque removal was done with i think an ultrasonic tool and it was so much more comfortable. And my favorite part was all of her education she provided while doing doing there cleaning was presented pleasantly. She also found a tiny irregularity in the xrays, which turned out to not be a problem, but I'm glad she was liking carefully. I appreciated everything!

I’m writing this review on behalf of my grandmother, who recently had a dental cleaning with Fera. She’s not comfortable writing reviews herself, but she asked me to do it because she was so happy with her experience. My grandmother has been getting dental cleanings for many years, and she said she has never had such a thorough and gentle cleaning like the one Fera provided. Fera was extremely kind, patient, and attentive. She truly listened to her, showed genuine care and empathy, and made her feel comfortable the entire time. She was very gentle while doing the cleaning and taking X-rays, explained every step clearly, demonstrated oral hygiene instructions, and took the time to educate her about her treatment. You can tell that Fera is very professional and truly loves what she does. She even took before-and-after pictures, which my grandmother really appreciated. If you’re looking for a truly thorough cleaning, ask for Fera — that’s how my grandmother defines excellent care now. After hearing all this, I can’t wait to book my own appointment with her too! I usually feel very anxious about dental visits, especially because I have a strong gag reflex and don’t like getting X-rays done. But recently I had a cleaning with a hygienist named Fera, and she was absolutely exceptional. She handled my gag reflex amazingly well and made the whole experience so much easier. She’s very sweet, knowledgeable, and speaks with such a soft, calming tone. On top of that, she’s extremely gentle with her work. I highly recommend her if you need a cleaning. The entire office has a wonderful atmosphere, and Fera really made my visit a great one.

Fera was exceptionally professional and efficient. Very quick cleaning, but completely thorough. I was in and out in less than an hour and still got the best cleaning experience I’ve had in 30 years. The entire staff were pleasant. I was trepidatious at first with Dr. Johnson leaving (big fan), but Dr. Hammond is great. Highly recommend.

The place has really become a mess. In the six years I have been going there, they have gone through 4 different dentists. The last two times I went, the dentist never came to see me. And the time before that, he was clearly in a hurry and got all of my information wrong. When I would correct him, he seemed annoyed. I was considering switching, but it’s such a pain to go somewhere new. Then, today, they canceled my appointment! When I showed up, they said it’s because I didn’t call them back to confirm. Last time, I had them put in my file to just charge me if I don’t show up because daytime phone calls are difficult with my job, which they said, “no problem.” However, they still canceled, so I guess that wasn’t true. I had filled out my paperwork they sent in the email, thinking that was my confirmation, but they said no! They don’t do appointment confirmations by text or email - phone calls only. What is this, 1995? If they were fantastic, I’d deal with that nonsense, but it’s not worth it in this day and age and availability of good service elsewhere.
