The best of what's left...if you can say even that. Whoever is in charge of this department should be replaced. My problems have been with billing. I initially signed up for autopay, and of course, there's a "convenience fee". I have been dropped out of the system without a warning twice--no email, no call. Just either a shutoff or a massive bill. I'm aware of low-budget billing systems, but even the cheapest isn't this bad. It must have been an in-house creation. I'd like to see their statistics. Also, as of this writing, interacting with the billing page with FireFox leads to an error and the transaction won't process. I had to use Chrome.

Sewer was turned off even though we were home and obviously new tenants, plugged our sewer without a call knock or nothing. Finding the notice after completing morning movement is very concerning. Poor service all around. After seeing other reviews, it is clear this department must be reshaped to serve the lowcountry residents properly, if a business has 1.8 stars it would be beyond failing

If I could give zero stars I would. Expensive as all hell, website is not user friendly, service and convenience fees for payments. Make an extra payment by accident because understanding your billing cycles is quite confusing? Sorry you can't cancel that extra payment. Absolutely worst water and sewage company I've ever had to deal with.

I've lived in Dorchester county for 3 months and they've already silently increased my monthly bill. I'm a single dude who used 2,000 gallons less than the minimum this month and my bill is $108.52... I've lived in Charleston county my whole life where I don't think I've ever seen a water bill more than $35. The flat fee for sewage is $66.15, by itself... Can someone please explain to us why it's so expensive? I guess you just like taking advantage of us?

*Update. Website pay portal down for 3 days and, yet again, autopay still not working. FIX YOUR SYSTEM! This is ridiculous.* Horrible billing system that often changes, misses notifications, doesn't update after you physically log-in to fix the issue, next thing you know, you have an overdue balance, late fees, rate increases. Literally like clockwork something goes wrong every few months. Let's not forget the fees on making your payment every month, every bill, automatic $2.50 for what? A broken system? Ridiculous. Time to update your payment systems. Thanks again for the rate increase 👍
