Carolina Periodontics – Summerville

If you have as much anxiety about seeing a dentist as you would about swimming with sharks, then Dr. Spooner should be your first choice for periodontal care. He does an excellent job easing anxiety by walking you through the procedure step by step, and most importantly, he made sure I was completely comfortable with the proper local anesthetic so the experience was as pain-free as possible. His assistant was also fantastic—kind, attentive, and comforting from start to finish. What really stood out to me was that Dr. Spooner personally called me later that evening to check on how my tooth was doing. That level of care and follow-up is rare and truly appreciated. If you need a periodontist, I highly recommend Dr. Spooner.

I had an excellent experience at Carolina Periodontics in Summerville. I needed to have multiple teeth removed and was a bit nervous. But the team made me feel right at home and treated me just like family. They explained the entire process from start to finish so I knew exactly what to expect. Best of all, I had zero pain after the procedure! The staff here is truly amazing.

Doing my appointment I express that I was really nervous about removing all 4 of my wisdom teeth the young man( can’t remember his name I know it start with an L) ensured me that I would be fine. Him and Dr. Spooner were very nice and give me the best care. Later that evening I received a text message from the team, they simply wanted to know how I was feeling and if I had any questions to text or call. I wish I could then more stars. I would highly recommend using them. Best experience ever.

First time visiting them trying to figure out process for getting my wisdom teeth out as they were causing a significant amount of pain suddenly. My normal dental PC was far from helpful. (said we will email you some places later that might be a good fit). So due to a recommendation from a friend, came here. I cannot believe how easy they made this for me. The doctor gave his recommendations after reviewing my case, and everyone I spoke to here seemed to really care. They immediately within the same day, found one of the oral surgeons they recommend that was within my network (before me leaving the office) and had my surgery scheduled same day with a surgeon trusted by the dentist here. Honestly, cannot recommend more.

All personnel cheerful and helpful. Dr Spooner was especially good with my 88 year old husband who needed his upper fixed denture removed and cleaned. Explained everything very carefully. Great job.
