Summerville Pediatric Dentistry

This was our second visit to this office to get fillings for our daughter, and unfortunately it was another frustrating experience. At our first appointment, very little actual dental work was attempted, but nitrous oxide was repeatedly pushed despite us clearly declining it. We were still charged and told we would need to return. At the second visit, our child was again prepped and placed on nitrous, which cost us an additional $125 out of pocket. We were told only part of the necessary dental work could be completed, even though multiple teeth required treatment. When we asked why all of the work couldn’t be done at once—especially since our child was already sedated—we were given vague explanations and no clear medical reasoning. This means we are now being asked to come back yet again for the same process. Communication was poor, consent was not respected, and our concerns as parents were repeatedly minimized. The lack of transparency, the repeated pressure to use nitrous, and the insistence on multiple visits without a clear clinical explanation felt more driven by repeat billing than by patient care. We left feeling unheard and uncomfortable, and will be seeking a new office. We will not be returning and are seeking care elsewhere.

My daughter has used this practice since she was 4. Now she comes back from college to maintain her cleaning appts. Great Dentists and hygenists. So friendly and knowledgeable. Front office staff are so helpful and kind. Love this practice!

Had a great pain-free cleaning, the best ever actually, thanks to Christina! New patient onboarding was a breeze and front desk staff very friendly and helpful. The doctor and team clearly have the patient’s best interests in focus. They do not hesitate to tell you when you don’t need something which is refreshing. Great job all! I actually look forward to going to the dentist now!

We absolutely LOVE Dr. Baker and all of her team here at Summerville Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. Super kid friendly! They’re so patient and welcoming. My three year old with autism isn’t that fond of coming to the dentist yet and they offered him what they call “Happy Visits” where he can just come by walk through play & brush the animals teeth to help get him more comfortable with being at the dentist. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thank y’all so much! 🤗

Very inviting environment, especially for kids. My 4 year old was super excited about her appointment and when we arrived, she was overwhelmed with joy after seeing the set up and meeting the friendly staff. They were very knowledgeable and supportive of her treatment plan and got us scheduled quickly for additional care.
