Summerville Fire & Rescue

Today I had the pleasure of visiting the Summerville Fire & Rescue team and dropping off a small goodie basket on behalf of D.R. Horton. From the moment I walked in, these gentlemen were incredibly welcoming, enthusiastic, and appreciative. It was clear how much pride they take in serving the Summerville community. We are blessed to have such a dedicated group of firefighters protecting our families, homes, and businesses every day. Thank you for all that you do. It was truly a pleasure meeting you all.

We had a scare today with one of our cats that got stuck in between the water heater and the wall. She was upside down with no room to right herself. We tried everything we could to get her out but finally made the call to the Summerville Fire Department. The firemen showed up pretty quickly and were finally able to move the water heater enough for her to right herself and then they were able to get her out. Talk about nerves being shot. But they were so helpful and kept us from completely losing our minds with worry. Thank you so much - you will never know what it meant to us. Malificent, after all lickable treat and a can or sardines also says Meowing very much! We don’t call her the Galaxy Destroyer for no reason.

These guys are wonderful, I failed to get the names of the 3 firemen who came Friday around 6 pm and got my 2 standard poodles out of my accidental locked car. They were there within 20 minutes of calling them. Thank you so much !! I pray every day for God to keep you safe!!!! ❤️

Had a dead battery in the Azalea Square shopping center parking lot around Christmas and no one had the time or tools to help until Brandon from the Summerville fire department came by. This kind young man was just trying to get some shopping done but took the initiative to offer his jumper cables and swapped spots with another person to help us charge and start the car. He made sure we got up and running even though it took longer than we expected and when I tried to offer him some cash he was graceful enough to turn it down. A+ on human character. My kids, wife, and I are so thankful that Brandon helped us get on our way.

My wedding band would not come off my finger and needed to be cut off. Two firemen, James and (I believe his name was Tray) were so kind at working on removing it. It took a bit of work, but they never gave up, asking me if I was ok the entire time. Such kind gentlemen. Thank you!
