SpokeWorks Bicycle Workshop

After visiting several other bike shops, we were waiting for that wow moment that we thought would hopefully happen when we found the right bike for my 11yo son. There was good energy in this shop because several regulars stopped in after their morning ride. We noticed the positive energy right away. Not only did my son light up when he rode the Specialized Rockhopper, we were very impressed with the level of service at Spokeworks! Michael and his team are pro’s! They did a pre-ride check to make sure tire pressure was correct and the gears were dialed in and shifting perfectly. No other shop did that. Also, when we decided to purchase Michael “set up the cockpit” for my son… he cut an inch off the seat post to get it just right and he adjusted the position of the brake handle and shifting buttons to get them in the most ergonomic position for him! This made us feel very well cared for and was very much appreciated! I wound up getting a bike for myself to be able to ride with my son, which I hadn’t planned on doing but I felt like I was in the right place and I did love the bikes! I know there isn’t much you can do to a single/fixie, but I dropped off with Mike and trusted his expertise on this one. These guys set me up with upgraded tires, crank set+bracket, pedals and chain. 100% can feel a better and smoother ride. Good job on this build!

Friendly and professional! I’ve had a couple of bad experiences with other bike shops, so I checked Google reviews and decided to try this one. The reviews were spot on—it was exactly my experience. Jeff was awesome, and even though the other employees were busy helping customers, they still acknowledged me and spoke. I just needed a simple fix for my daughter’s bike seat, and they welcomed me as soon as I walked in. The service was quick, and I was in and out in no time. I’ll definitely be back!

They are the only bicycle shop in the greater Charleston area that carries the full line of Specialized products. Staff is courteous, helpful, and provides valuable feedback to help you on your cycling journey. It doesn't feel like they just want to sell you something, it's more like they really want to help you find what you need, even if that means recommending a different store.

I'm a happy customer as of 6/7/22. This rockhopper expert is awesome, the shop stood behind their good work. I live away from Summerville but I still would like to visit to have my bike cleaned and serviced when necessary. I recommend purchasing specialized bikes from them. 08/20/2025 Edit date: this bike maintained its resale and desirability, I no longer own it, but I really enjoyed it while I owned it. I used it for city riding with the specialized infinity sport reflect tires. Those tires are very good at deflecting puncturing objects! I ran the 700x35 size. I also had thorn resistant tubes, which were extremely hard to install with the new tires. The solution is to trust the tire with regular tubes!
