Knowledgeable and courteous staff, with solid recommendations; wide range of selections. Ordered a prime rib for six for Christmas dinner; we and our guests agreed it was outstanding - tender, well-marbled, delicious. In the past we have purchased fresh prime ribeye steaks, NY strips, and New Zealand Rack of Lamb (flash frozen), and have been 100% pleased with quality.

The store is a good store to buy meats, specialty items, and our favorite are the prepared meals. Though we have a request that you revisit the amount of salt being used...in particular this week's special, Beef Strognaoff, was over powering with a salt flavoring. Also we previously purchased the crab cakes on 2 occasions and enjoyed them but a couple of weeks ago, we made another purchase and they too were very salty. Please take these findings with an understanding that we enjoy visiting and making purchases of items in the "shoppe" and will do so again in the near future. Thank you.

This the best place to get any meat you need. It has the best staff and even better food. I would highly recommend giving this place a try!

On Jun 23, I ordered the roast chicken dinner from the Nexton shop. What I received was boiled chicken, not roasted. I stopped by to speak to the Mgr the next day. I was told it was his day off and he'd call the next day. I left my name and number along with pictures. As of today, Sunday, Jun 29, I still have not had any contact. So here is my review... Do not order roast chicken from this place. You will get boiled chicken. I was very upset and disappointed. Especially with no follow-up from Mgmt. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially like this. I wasn't going to. I only wanted a conversation with the Mgr. However, the customer service follow-up is non-existent. The week before, I ordered the pot roast from the IOP NY Shop. It was very good and we enjoyed it very much. Nexton shop is a disappointment. I won't shop here.

We went to the New York butcher shop today looking for a prepared pot roast. Unfortunately it wasn’t something they had on the shelf BUT the staff there was so amazing and offered to go ahead and make everything there for me if I had a few minutes. I was so surprised and happy by their willingness to help make life a little easy for this busy mom! I ended up getting a delicious salad for lunch, the prepared pot roast and another prepped meal (marinated chicken breast (with cooking instructions!), green bean casserole and loaded baked potatoes! So excited to have this butcher shop around the corner!
