Chroma Hair Studio and Spa – Color Hair Salon in Summerville

I had a great experience with Theo! I booked for a cut and to try gray blending highlights. She looked at my inspo pictures and made great suggestions on what adjustments to make to the color and cut to suit me better. She even showed me how to style it, and I’ve been using her tips. She was very pleasant and easy to spend time with and I’ll definitely return next time. I thought prices were reasonable, and she made a point to go over everything she was going to do and how much it would cost before she started. I really appreciated that extra step.

After a number of visits with the owner to dye and cut my hair, I had asked several times to make it brown and not blonde. She was also challenged with styling which was ok as long as the cut worked. She responded by saying, "I cannot make you younger," and "I had a client who did not like the color or the way I styled her hair but she kept coming back and I do not know why, kind of like you." This rudeness was because I asked her to just make my hair dye brown in a very nice manner! I thought to myself in response, she would not have to worry about me anymore as this is my last visit. But I kept silent. I now go to a person who is amazing and I look so much better. I do not recommend this place as a result. I have never been treated with such passive aggressiveness by a service provider. I was not going to do this review but decided it would be a fair way to respond to the above situation.

I had an amazing experience with Alyssa at Chroma Hair Salon in Summerville! She did such an incredible job highlighting my hair, the color came out absolutely beautiful and blended perfectly. Alyssa really listened to what I wanted, explained everything she was doing, and made sure the end result looked natural and bright. I’ve gotten so many compliments already! Plus, she was so warm and easy to talk to, which made the whole appointment super enjoyable. Highly recommend booking with her if you want stunning highlights and a great salon experience!

Theo is an amazing stylist and person. She asks all the right questions and really listens to the answers. She's not just checking the box. I also appreciated the quote up front. What a talented, respectful and caring person. She gave me back the color and cut I've been missing. I think I made a friend too!

I am always made to feel welcome when I come in the Shop. Diane always makes sure that my hair cut is exactly like I want it. She was even able to cut my hair in a way that I have been asking for years but was told it couldn’t be done. Thank you, Diane. I appreciate your service.
