We've been driving by this place and wanting to check it out for a while, and finally stopped in for breakfast on father's day. You order at the counter with the menu overhead. It can be hard to see everything from the back of the line, especially if you need to scrutinize the choices for dietary restrictions, etc. It's a small space for how well loved it is! No one seems to mind. The workers are very nice and patient and so are the customers from what I could tell. The menu has a great variety of options and my husband and kids loved the Mainstreet Benedict, chocolate chip pancakes and French toast! I, however, am gluten free and the options are quite sparse. They do have a gf bread for a breakfast sandwich, but I didn't give that a shot, iykyk. I just ordered some eggs, bacon and sausage. It would be nice if they had gf bagels or some specific meals I could feel confident ordering. They did warn me the homefries were not gf & I appreciated their knowledge! I will say they have some gluten free pastries and that was super exciting! I got the gf boston cream tart & it was pretty good. Will definitely be back to check out what other options they have in the future. Also pictured is the chocolate eclair my husband ordered & it was reportedly delicious!

These folks are killing it! Amazing and had a good chat with the owner and some bonus croissants. I tried as many things as I could; biscuit, Challah French Toast, Croissant, blueberry muffin and a blueberry bagel. Everything was perfect, but I’ll be dreaming about that blueberry muffin for a very long time. Wish I could have tried the cake but I was stuffffffffed. Sadly just a tourist passing through and love to shop local, got to keep these places around. They’re absolute gems!

Charleston Bakery & Deli absolutely nailed the perfect breakfast sandwich. Their ham, egg, and cheese is hands-down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had anywhere —and I’m picky about breakfast spots. The ham is thick-cut and flavorful, the eggs are fresh and cooked perfectly, and the cheese melts into everything exactly the way it should. What really sets it apart is the bread. You can tell this place is a real bakery because the roll tastes fresh, soft, and homemade with just the right texture. It has that classic New York deli feel, but with a Southern touch that makes it even better. The portions are generous, the food comes out hot, and the whole place has that neighborhood gem vibe where you know the locals already figured out how good it is. Add in the smell of fresh baked pastries and coffee when you walk in, and it’s basically impossible to leave unhappy. If you’re in Summerville and looking for a legit breakfast sandwich, skip the chains and go here. The ham, egg, and cheese alone is worth the trip.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of eating here twice. The menu has something for everyone! We decided to split a sandwich the second time around, and we both left satisfied. We can’t wait to explore more of the menu! See y’all again soon!

First time visiting, dessert selection was almost overwhelming (in a good way)! I wish I could have tried one of everything, it all looked amazing. The pecan pie bar is legitimately one of the best desserts/baked goods I've ever had in my life...and I've had my share of baked goods (and probably a few other people's too, if I'm being honest). The portions are HUGE for the price! My wife and I split the pecan pie bar in half, and then in half again to last 2 sittings; like getting 4 desserts for the price of one, which was a welcome change to Downtown and Mount Pleasant prices (which are more like 1 dessert for the price of 4). I wish it was closer, but I will absolutely make the drive again!
