A simple downtown-friendly park for play, shade, and a quick reset
Huger Park is best known for its playground and picnic shelter, which make it convenient for everyday visits and low-key meetups. It’s the kind of place that works well for a short “get the energy out” stop before heading back to errands, downtown shopping, or a meal nearby.
The park’s rain garden area adds a little learning opportunity to the visit, especially for kids who like to explore what’s growing and how water moves through the landscape. Plan for a casual visit, and consider coming in the morning or late afternoon when the weather is at its most comfortable.

Nice little hidden playground in the Summerville area. Seems like it was renovated from the past posted pictures, and it's certainly charming. It doesn't have too much to offer but it's a nice and quiet place, with tables for picnics and a small roofed area for birthdays and celebrations. My kids loved it, and everything seems clean and well maintained.

It's cute & quaint. There is mulch on the ground & a playground made out of wood (mostly) but the one slide is plastic. It has a couple of "Mom & Baby" swings at this playground and a slightly larger round swing (not a tire though), that 1-3 small kids can fit on. My child loves playing at this park.

First time coming after renovation and it looks so beautiful. The playground is great for all ages and I do not miss the sand, it has been replaced with wood chips and grass. They have plenty of picnic tables and benches. The pavilion is still there but they’ve moved the tables out and it is now empty not sure what it’s purpose is now. Definitely recommend it!
