Doty Park is a go-to neighborhood park in Summerville for families who want a simple, low-stress afternoon outside. Set beside the Rollins Edwards Community Center, it’s the kind of place where you can let kids burn off energy on the playground, cool down at the splash pad in warm weather, and still have room to spread out under a shelter for snacks or a casual picnic.
It’s also a popular spot for racquet sports, so you may see lessons, open play, or friendly matches happening on the courts.
A favorite playground of our family’s for years..and it’s only getting better with the additions!
Playground needs to be completely shaded.

The park isn't open currently but thats because they are remodeling it (see attached photos). The sign says its supposed to be completed by the end of spring 2026. I believe that means this Saturday May 2, 2026 at 10-12 they will be cutting the ribbon. I just wanted to post an update. The splash park is open though as of now (April 2026). Perfect if you need to take the kids somewhere to get some energy out & cool down.
