The Ryan Timothy Salon

This young man knows hair and has a gift! He will talk you through his process, answer any questions you have and his results are amazing! I love that he also walks you through what would help you reach your hair goals and the care process, so you're educated before you leave. He's also very nice and easy to talk to. The salon itself has a beautiful ambiance and the location is easy to get to. Definitely will be back!

I went into the salon to get a partial highlight and a silk press and when I tell you overall A1!! Each stylist there was very professional, the salon was clean and it’s a one stop shop when it comes to hair. They offer braids, color, wig application, makeup, sew ins, silk press + more. this is my second time seeing ryan, and yet again, he doesn’t disappoint! the service i requested was a silk press and trim, which he fulfilled to the letter. his care and service was excellent, offering water, coffee and snacks! ryan talks you through the process of what he’s doing to your hair, why he’s doing it and you can tell he knows what he’s talking about. he, along with shaquella, were so kind and courteous and both gave very professional attitudes. making an appointment on his website is easy for everyone and he’s available by phone as well. he also does my mom’s hair and she’s been a client for over a year and her hair process is flourishing thanks to him. i looove coming to him and will continue to do so!

I had my first appointment with Ryan since moving to the Charleston area. My hair was in bad shape due to transitioning from relaxer to natural, in severe need of a cut (not trim), and breakage! I also expressed to Ryan that I am low maintenance when it comes to my hair and I hate dealing with it, especially with the humidity here. Ryan was AMAZING in educating me about my hair, the porosity, what types of products to use, and how to care for it after he styled it! He is also a very kind person who makes you feel comfortable, is professional, and was there on time! I will be a returning client!

It took me quite some time to write this review. I will say that Ryan started out being very professional. And somewhere along the line, he surprised me. I am assuming he’s not okay with clients not being consistent? At some point, I would schedule an appointment and he would intentionally cancel the appt. When I texted him to inquire, he wouldn’t respond. Who does that as a professional? If you’re not a constant, I’m assuming he doesn’t want your business. It is very unprofessional to intentionally cancel appointments, and not say why. Needless to say, I’ve since found a great hair stylist. I thought long and hard before writing this review. It needed to be said.
