I’ve been going to Kaelyn for years now, and I truly cannot say enough good things about her. She has completely transformed not only the health of my hair but also my confidence. From day one, she has been intentional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping my hair thrive. Her expertise, especially with extensions, is unlike anyone else I’ve ever worked with. They look natural, feel lightweight, and have never compromised the health of my hair. She takes the time to educate you on proper care, recommends amazing products (her products are top notch), and always prioritizes long-term hair health over quick fixes. Beyond her talent, Kaelyn is caring, passionate, and so easy to trust. You can tell she truly loves what she does. And on top of all that, her pricing is incredibly fair for the level of quality and experience she provides. If you’re looking for someone who will elevate your hair while keeping it healthy, she’s your girl. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. 🤍

Gabby was absolutely the most authentic, creative somewhat magical, kind and knowledgeable stylist I've had thus far in life. She turned my messy all over hair issue into everything I wanted and more. Her creativity and passion for hair is on point!! I highly recommend her and all the staff surrounding her!!! Beautifully done. My highlights give my hair so much life and the cut makes it even more vibrant and esthetically pleasing. Fantastic job!!! XOXO 😘

I came to Halo Salon on 4/7 hoping to fix a color job I had received earlier that same day. I originally asked for balayage elsewhere and ended up with more of a highlight look and not the color/ tone I’d hoped for. Because I went to someone who works professionally from home, I didn’t want to go back and possibly get the same or still not what I was looking for (caramel balayage on dark hair) from the same person. When I called Halo, Rachel was kind, accommodating, and even offered me a same-day appointment. She also confirmed it would be okay to bring my children, which I appreciated given the circumstances. Unfortunately, the experience once I arrived was the complete opposite. From the moment I walked in, the owner, Kaelyn, was dismissive and abrasive. Her tone was immediately unwelcoming, and the way she addressed me felt more like an inconvenience than a client seeking help. She was quick to let me know she was the owner of the salon. What stood out the most was how she spoke to me regarding my children. Despite being told over the phone that bringing them was fine, she made repeated, condescending remarks implying they would be a problem before we had even begun the service. She verbalized that she doubted they would behave and threw her arms up saying “it doesn’t look like it” when I said they would sit on their devices quietly. At this point I was teary- eyed but maintaining composure. I was taken back by her aggression. My children were sitting outside on the porch just during the wait for me to get in a chair, well-behaved, yet she still chose to question my judgment and speak to me in a way that was rude and embarrassing. You could feel the energy in the room shift as the other clients getting their hair done and the other stylists began looking away -visibly uncomfortable. At one point, she even rolled her eyes and continued making comments within earshot of other clients & I was honestly shocked by the lack or professionalism and basic respect. No one should feel belittled in a place where they are paying for a service. Rachel, on the other hand, was kind and did her best to help. I actually felt bad for as Kaelyn came over to “fix” a haircut Rachel was doing for a client before me (micromanaging). Rachel walked me through the issues with my hair and applied a toner (since Kaelyn was adamant balayage wasn’t possible) along with a single corrective foil in the front. However, when it came time to check out, I was charged $130 for what was essentially a toner, one foil, and a blow dry. Rachel tried charging me based on what she did and Kaelyn made her add on additional items/ services. That price felt excessive and was never clearly communicated beforehand nor was it itemized to make sense to me. To make matters worse, I overheard the owner complaining about me bringing my bringing my children to another client while checking out, which was both inappropriate and unprofessional. When I asked about returning in the future to achieve the balayage look I originally wanted, I was met with a shrug and a vague "maybe," which further reflected the lack of care or interest in client satisfaction. It was also difficult to ignore the contrast between the salon's atmosphere-playing Christian music-and the way I was treated. Respect, kindness, and professionalism should not be optional, especially in a customer-facing business. I came in feeling vulnerable and hoping for help, and instead left feeling judged, embarrassed, and overcharged. Rachel was the only positive part of this experience. Unfortunately, due to the owner's behavior, I will not be returning. My biggest regret was choosing to stay and give my money to this business when the best choice would have been to walk away. I encourage you not to waste your time, money or energy here and stay away. My biggest take away from this situation was to remember to be KIND to others. You never know what they may be going through. Even though the day was stressful in many ways the absolute worst part of it all was how I was treated. Choose kindness always!
