Stopped in w/a warm welcome from an older lady that knew the menu and favorites well, she spoke highly of the popular salads and burgers I had salad 1 day and burger the next ,food was on point and right amount. Ice cream is always on point ,I mean I could pick a part a brand new place but why ? I knew its was an older fam est that offers jobs for all in the community to keep the family business running. Good energy good customer service and a to go box for later ,it is what it is as what to be expected, if I wanted to go downtown charleston on kings st and feel like a king and pay 34 for a burger thats still red meat then I would expected total trip of 150 for couple...thanks again good service.

Ordered Curbside. Sauce I requested was not included, a ton of ketchup I did not was. Waited long enough past estimated pick up to go in and inquire, ice cream was good and freshly finished when I walked in.

I stopped by Ye Ole Fashioned on Savannah Hwy recently, and I walked out feeling pretty mixed about the whole experience. It’s one of those places that has a lot of charm and nostalgia, and you can tell it’s been a neighborhood staple for a long time. The staff was friendly in that casual, no‑rush kind of way, and they got me taken care of without any issues. I ordered a burger and fries, plus ice cream because… well, it’s Ye Ole Fashioned, you kind of have to. The food came out fairly quickly, and the portions were definitely generous. The burger itself was okay — not bad, just not something I’d go out of my way for. The patty was cooked fine, but the flavor felt a little flat, like it needed a bit more seasoning or something to make it stand out. Fries were hot but a little on the softer side. The ice cream was the highlight for me. Super creamy, big scoops, and exactly what you expect from a place that’s known for it. If I lived closer, I’d probably come back just for that. The dining area could use a little freshening up — nothing terrible, just that slightly worn‑in feel that makes you think it’s overdue for a touch‑up. Still clean enough, just not the most inviting atmosphere. Overall, it’s a solid neighborhood spot with friendly service and big portions, but the food didn’t quite hit the “wow” factor for me. I’d come back for ice cream or a quick bite, but it’s not a must‑visit.

I stopped by a few days ago and had only been here 1 other time so I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to order. My order was taken by a newer staff member who seemed unsure of the menu and the process and when I asked questions about the chef salad she seemed to have an attitude. Bailey stepped in to assist, not sure if she's part of management but she carried herself as if she was. She was professional and calmly explained to the girl who was taking my order what I was trying to order and how to make it. However they seemed annoyed and bothered by my order. After noticing the situation, I specifically asked if Bailey could handle my order instead, and she did a great job food was hot, and made correctly she answered every question I had and seemed to know the menu well. I asked if she will be making my entire order or just a part of it and she said whoever takes your order makes the entire thing including the ice cream so I definitely will request her next time I order!! Also I’ve seen reviews mentioning the "lazy" teen staff, but honestly for how busy it was majority of these young workers, seemed focused and trying their best especially since I didn't see 1 adult in sight so it was hard to know who was in charge. I will say the prices are pretty high for the food you get.
