Wassamassaw Community Park highlights

This park is especially handy when you want options without driving across town. You can bring the dog for off-leash time, take a stroll on the walking trail, or claim a picnic shelter for an easy birthday meetup or weekend snack break.

The space also works well for quick practices and pick-up games, thanks to the courts and ballfield. Since it’s typically open from dawn to dusk, it fits nicely into both morning routines and after-school plans.

We had my great-grandson's first birthday party here underneath one of the shelters. It was very accommodating. There was basketball courts for the older kids and a playground for the younger ones. And there's a restroom. There were parents and their children riding bicycles around the paths. I didn't even know this place was here until my granddaughter booked it for their son's first birthday party.

Fantastic secret little place, it has restrooms, a great playground, walking trail, enclosed play areas for the doggies and picnic shelters. First of many times that I'll be coming here. It is perfect for a family picnic. The kids had a good time, there were plenty of squirrels to see, so we baptized this place as 'the squirrel's playground '.

Its a little park. The smell of Marijuana that lingered in the air was just way to much. Seems like a little getaway hideout for drug deals and people doing drugs. Lots of people just sitting in cars. Ive never seen anyone at the two areas they have for dogs. And the playground is the only thing thats in the beeming sun. Everything else is in the shady.

Wassamasaw Community Park dog part area is pretty basic. There are two different fenced in areas for small vs bigger dogs. Semi-shaded. Benches to relax on while your dog plays. There’s nothing extra about them-no play scape for dogs or anything. There is a water fountain outside the fenced in area. There’s also a short walk around the rest of the park. Restrooms are available. Basketball court. This small park is surrounded by homes, but close to just about anything for shopping, food, etc. Not a bad place to let your dog run.

Playground is outstanding. It is fenced in so children are safe and not running from parents. Benches in the playground area and the path are in excellent conditions and there are plenty of them. Path around the park is perfect for walking laps. Basketball courts are in great condition and used by many people. Bathrooms are clean. Picnic tables are clean.
