I can not say enough about this church. From the first day that I walked into those doors, I felt at home, accepted, and loved. The pastors make it a priority to make connections and friendships with the congregation, and we are all truly a big family who has so much fun together and most importantly prays fervently for one another. I've never experienced the Holy Spirit constantly move throughout a service (especially over the past few months) like I do here. If you're looking for a church with great community outreach, opportunities to serve, family fun, amazing bible studies, and lasting friendships, please look no further. We are certainly growing and want you to be a part of it!

Me and my family moved to the Charleston area from Indiana 5 1/2 years ago. We had a great church home and family in Indiana. We visited many churches for about 3 years. We never joined any of those churches because we didn't feel like they were a good fit for our family. We bought a house 2 years ago that is near Palmetto Land Baptist Church and we decided to try it. We visited for several months, met with the pastors and asked some questions. We liked the answers that we received and we also liked what was going on in the church and decided to join the congregation. There are many ministries to get involved in and our church family is very loving, caring and giving. If you want to hear the Word preached truthfully, with no sugar coating and from the Bible, Pastors Gene & Daniel Carpenter deliver this every week. They are both true, God-called preachers. Palmetto Land Baptist Church's main purpose is to spread the Word of God to all people, so that all may be saved and live eternally in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I have been going to Palmetto Land for more then two years and at first I was hesitant about attending a Baptist Church. I came in ready to leave because of past experiences with churches. However, the People at Palmetto Land were so loving and welcoming and not judgmental at all. They were accepting of my oddities and out of the box decision and choices and It was nice not to be immediately rejected for doing things differently. I have no blood family in the Area but Palmetto Land has become my family being there when I need them. My family at Palmetto Land is not just a family on Sunday we are a family all of the time. I love the Bible studies and often take notes and verify the meanings of words on my own during the rest of the week.

My wife and I were in town from Leesburg, Virginia visiting my sister and mother during Easter. We wanted to attend a church service and we looked for the closest chuches in the area. We decided upon Palmetto Land Baptist Church and we are so pleased that we did. All we can say is that from the time that we arrived until we departed we were welcomed by all as if we had been attending there regularly. We enjoyed the fact that the service was different than we were use to, but yet it was one that touched us in many ways. The sermon was what I consider a good teaching and the pastor (Daniel) just spoke the Word and just used many real life experiences to assist in the teaching that the Holy Spirit led him to teach. In closiing, if you are reading this post and are considering visiting this church, stop your seraching and just go attend a service and let God do the rest. Thank you to Leigh Ann who took us in and had us sit with her and her family during the service. Thank you Pastor Dan for an experience that we will never forget and we will visit again anytime that we are in the area. God Bless! Lee and Cynthia Gortman
