I ordered a chocolate chip cookie cake for my sons 15th birthday, I requested that “Happy Birthday Luke” would be written on the cake in blue and white frosting. They wrote it on the cake but my 8 year old son could’ve done a better job and saved me $46. To top it all off the cake was slightly burnt. I understand that mistakes happen but I just wanted to share what happened to me so the business can improve.

Ordered a cookie cake this past Saturday for our daughter's 21st birthday on Tuesday. Needless to say what we ordered we didn't get. We sent picture to Katie the manager and what we got then was right on point plus extra. Katie definitely went above & beyond our expectations.

We have ordered multiple custom ice cream cakes from Marble Slab in the last year and are always delicious. Our most recent order we placed for New Years Day 2026 was made by Karen and all I can say is my family was blown away! Today is 1/3/26 and the cake is gone. Karen went above and beyond I described exactly how I wanted my cake, the toppings and the flavor profile I was going for and she delivered. Thank you so much Ms. Karen , and my husband now refuses to buy our cakes from anywhere else.

We’ve been customers here since the store opened. We left tonight after waiting around 30 minutes with empty hands. The store was as generally busy as it usually is. After standing in line for a couple minutes we noticed one of the employees dropping a large container of ice cream into the freezer, except it didn’t go where it was intended. It slammed on the bottom of the freezer, then all the employees had to stop for a belly busting laugh. The employee who dropped it then ran in the back with a store full of customers and said that she was meant to be in the back. She did finally make her way back up front. A different employee while scoping some coffee ice cream for another customer made the statement while scooping standing right in front of me that she was done with this job. So now it’s my turn to be helped, and to no surprise I got exactly the service that I suspected was coming my way. I ordered a quart and the employee helping me was struggling the scoop the ice cream, I heard her teo other employees that her arm was locked up and she couldn’t scoop anymore. She brought back the quart to ring us up and I noticed that it was only about 2/3 of the way full. So I asked if that was the normal portion size ( this is my normal order here for the many years) and she said I mixed it up a lot that’s why it looks like that. So I responded with when we come and get this it’s always filled to the top. So she grabbed the container and walked away, visibly frustrated and not happy with our interaction. She walked back to the toppings and then back to where I was standing in front of the ice cream, to which I told her not to worry about it. And then we left. I’m not exactly sure what is going on here but I do know that this from my observation tonight it seems that many people who were there working tonight fall in one of two categories 1- They just don’t wanna be there and have to be working, 2. They are lacking critical training, guidance, self control and most of all professionalism. Strong leadership would probably be very beneficial to this place.

I came here with my husband tonight and although the ice cream was very yummy, it does not seem that the employees are treated as they should be. I overheard two of the girls talking about how they wonder why marble slab isn't required to give them breaks.. that is ridiculous. Employees are supposed to be getting breaks when working 5+ hour shifts, so I asked them about it and they proceeded to tell me that they do not get breaks unless they are not busy and aren't being told to clean up the store. But other than that they do not have scheduled breaks, and if the store is busy all night, they receive no break to eat. While I was there I also overheard the family next to me did not receive the cake they ordered at all?????! Apparently one of the older employees lost the cake? Who knows how that happens.
