This is our second time at Laura's. The agnolotti was quite good and the sauce was bright and refreshing. Octopus was good as usual though it's hard to compete with places like Malagon and Laurel. The foccacia was very fluffy and filling--served with whipped ricotta I believe. I think it's worth getting even just to clean up the remaining sauce from any pasta you get. The last time we ordered the carne pizza which was fine but I didn't care too much about the texture. This time we got the one with squash and stuff on it...didn't care at all for this. same texture but it felt a bit TOO charred on the veggies that gave a slight bitter note. Atmosphere was great as always. Our server was quite attentive at first, but as it picked up, I didn't see them for a while. took a bit longer than expected to refill our waters or pay the bill. All in all, still good. I like how they have the pass near the dining area so you can see everyone working, though I'm sure it gets busy. Onthe way out we saw the lasagna and that looked great--will have to try that out next time.

My wife and I used to love going out to eat and probably did it more than we should have. In the past couple years it just seems like we rarely get the bill and feel as though we got our money's worth, with the exception of a few key spots. That was absolutely not the case at Laura! We went in for our anniversary and everything about the experience was phenomenal. Ray was our server and he was personable, helpful, and attentive. The atmosphere is fancy, but not at all stuffy. We started with the Focaccia and Arancini - I would have been happy just eating that for a whole meal. They were both amazing. We each had a mocktail; I had the Nonnina and my wife had the Blood Orange Twist. For the main course, I had the lobster gnocchi and she had the Pappardelle Fungo. We both added scallops, which were cooked to absolute perfection. The food was incredible and the price wasn't crazy at all. This was one of the best meals I have had since moving to SC (6 years) and we will definitely be back many times in the future.

Loved the atmosphere. The dim, warm lighting was a great touch that really set the mood. Service was attentive and they clearly care about your experience. Our server gave us a brief description of the restaurant’s history and the menu shortly after seating us. He even packaged our leftovers we wanted to take to-go upon no request! Small gestures like that really make a difference. edit: I now realize that’s a normal thing in more upscale restaurants 🙈 Regardless, it’s very much appreciated. We ordered the octopus antipasti which was absolutely delicious! The flavors complimented each other perfectly. For my dish, I got the lobster gnocchi. It tasted great, but it’s too thick for my preference. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their dishes, and we took turns trying each other’s meals. Our server mentioned they make (almost) all of their pasta themselves, and you can certainly tell—it’s great! For dessert, we ordered the cannolis and tiramisu. I loved the pistachio sauce that accompanied the cannolis, and the cannolis themselves were quite nice. The tiramisu was HUGE, certainly a generous serving! I’ve only tried 4 or so tiramisus from different places, and this is my new favorite. My only critique is that the coffee flavor is very light for what I’d expect in tiramisu. Other than that, I love tiramisu, so it was fantastic. Food presentation is very important to me, and they did not disappoint. Each dish was beautifully plated. Overall, this is a great place that I’d definitely recommend. From the staff, to the atmosphere, to the food, Laura’s is well-deserving of five stars.

I chose this establishment because I was looking for an authentic Italian dining experience, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Our server was not only friendly but also extremely helpful and patient, taking the time to walk us through the menu and making it much easier to decide what to order. I especially appreciated how he shared a brief history of the owner and the restaurant, which added a personal touch to the experience. I ordered the chicken parmesan, which was stuffed with mozzarella, and it truly delivered. What made the meal feel even more authentic was knowing the noodles are made fresh in-house. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic date, with a cozy, dimly lit setting that set the mood just right. Dessert was tiramisu served in a large glass-rich, indulgent, and a great way to end the meal. I also tried The Laura, a drink made with limoncello and a scoop of sorbet. While it had a slight aftertaste, it didn't take away from the overall experience. If you're looking for a true Italian experience without having to book a flight to Paris, this is definitely the place to go.

Great service. Upscale atmosphere. The food….unmatched! Fresh homemade pastas and sauces. Everything was very flavorful. The octopus was the best I’ve had stateside. Drinks were also good. We can’t wait to come back.
