It’s Magic Day Spa and Salon

I love this place! I was able to walk in without an appointment. My stylist did exactly what I asked her to do. This is the first time I’ve ever went into a salon and walked out completely satisfied. Their newest stylist did my hair and she is fantastic. I will not go to any other salon from now on! They were also reasonably priced!

I first went in to have Leslie do highlights. She did an excellent job and gave me a great haircut. Two weeks later my roots started coming through so I went back in but unfortunately Leslie wasn’t there. I ended up with Tracy the owner. The experience was uncomfortable as she gossiped the entire time. That’s not what I went for. Leslie made no record of colors or procedures done on my hair, so there was nothing to go by which was another thing that bothered me. With that being said, Tracy got so much hair dye all over my face And mind you, I do know when you root touch the edges that there is bound to be some dye on your skin. But what she did to me was unacceptable. It was on my forehead down my neck all over my cheeks. It was a mess. She kept rubbing and rubbing and to the point where when I got home I realized she had pulled out so much of my hair along my hairline. Granted I do have thin dry hair, but she literally pulled out so much. I asked her repeatedly to stop rubbing. I told her I would go home and get it off with micellar water, but she continued. My skin was raw. I notified Tracy that I was very unhappy about this. She responded three days later with a rude condescending text message. She insisted that I come in so she could take a look. I told her that I take Ubers and I did not want to spend another $60 for her to just take a look and then talk condescendingly to me as she did via text in front of clients. Honestly, all I wanted was an apology I did ask for reimbursement, but if she just would’ve taken some responsibility, it might’ve made the situation. OK. She didn’t offer an apology. She didn’t offer any consolation whatsoever. She told me she audio and videoed my visit. If she did, I’m going to make sure that we take a look and listen to that. Unless she can redact the entire visit, she’s going to be making a fool out of herself. She comes off, like such a nice sweet lady, but in all actuality, she is very rude cold condescending and belittling to her employees and her other clients. I can only imagine what she said about me when I left. As for Leslie and the other girl that work in the salon, I would find another job if I were you.. Also, she calls herself a day spa and salon. There is nothing spa worthy about this place. It’s literally a shack. It’s smaller than a garage in the back of somebody’s house. It’s the most uncomfortable experience that you will ever receive in a hair salon. UPDATE…..As expected, you tried to come across with your nice nice BS. I don’t know who you’re fooling, but hopefully people will figure it out sooner than later. The first two pictures is what my hairline looks like after you scrubbed all the hair off of it. The second picture or third rather is all the hair dye that you left on my face which was 90% removed with the micellar water that I used to take it off so you can only imagine what it was like before that. This is what you should be using instead of scrubbing people‘s faces raw. The third picture is what my hair looked like before coming into you. This is disgusting.

Leslie is amazing! She worked her magic on my hair and boy did she have her work cut out for her. My color is the best that I've had. That says a lot because I'm new to the area and it's so hard to find someone when you leave your previous home and stylist. Not only did she do an amazing job, but the salon is warm and welcoming and they are so sweet and accommodating. I highly recommend this salon.

Today I went to It’s Magic Day Spa and Salon for the first time . I was reluctant in scheduling at a salon I had never been to so I googled reviews first which led me to the high reviews of It’s Magic. It was by far my favorite trip to the salon EVER! When I walked in the ambiance was calming and welcoming. Karen is who my appointment was scheduled with today and she worked magic for me. Today she colored my hair using highlights in the front and low lights in the back blending my natural hair color. Karen also cut my hair and again by far best ever. Her creativity and expertise is GOLDEN!. Karen is going to be my new go to for all hair appointments moving forward! She is wonderful! I loved EVERYTHING about my time at the salon today. The other stylist were all so friendly and had happy clients coming and going as I was getting pampered today. All of the clients left smiling and looking their best. I am looking so forward to my next visit! Appointment is already on the books! New to town and was recommended to It’s Magic Day Spa and Salon. Great location near downtown Summerville but tucked down a quiet side street with ample parking. Salon is very welcoming and nicely decorated. I had my service with Tracy and she was excellent at color and haircut recommendations. She takes time with her clients and is a perfectionist at delivering excellent results. Love my new look!
